The House Mouse, Mus Musculus Linnaeus, is the most commonly found mouse in and around the home in the UK.
These mice can climb, run up rough walls and along pipes, jump and swim. These adaptable mammals are found in garden sheds, stables, inside the house, lofts and many other dark secluded places with little disturbance and plenty of nesting material. They can cause hundreds of pounds worth of damage to your property by gnawing through garden furniture and equipment, electric cables, plastic water pipes and many other objects.
Potential harm: Mice can spread many diseases such as salmonella, rickettsialpox, ratbite fever, tularemia, lyme disease, dermatitis, tapeworm just to name a few.
